In order to raise funds for the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center – the first Rafa Nadal Foundation own project -, on May 23rd 2015, we held the first International Gala in Paris.
Around 400 people joined us at this charity event, which took place at the Hotel InterContinental Paris Le Grand, and which was supported by the watchmaking company Richard Mille. Spanish ambassador in France, Ramón de Miguel; ATP President, Chris Kermode; French Tennis Federation President and Jean Gachassin, Roland-Garros President, where some of the authorities present. But also, personalities from the business world, such as Richard Mille and Tommy Hilfiger, along with representatives and guests from companies such as KIA, Telefónica, Banc Sabadell, Mapfre, Nike, Babolat…where invited.
The guests to the gala enjoyed a dinner signed by the Spaniards Juan Mari Arzak and Elena Arzak, and the French Christophe Raoux; prestigious chefs of international recognition who joined the best of their gastronomic creations to offer a unique and unrepeatable dinner.
Presented by the French sports journalists Lionel Chamoulaud and Nelson Monfort, the event began with the interpretation of the aria Nessun Dorma by the Spanish tenor Josep Bros. Once the dinner was over, the Spanish pop-rock singer Luz Casal – very much loved in France – gave a performance that included the interpretation of some of her most famous songs; thus concluding an exclusive evening full of solidarity.
From Komodo we conceptualized the project as well as led all the coordination and production of the different parts of the event, including of course the great scenographic and audiovisual technical work that was carried out.
