WHAT DID IT CONSIST OF?

In January 2016, Mahou launched a gluten-free beer. And in order to start it’s positioning in the Spanish market we designed for Madrid Gluten Free, a stand for the occasion. In this stand the message that the brand wanted to convey worked on: “the same taste as Mahou Five Stars, but without gluten”.

In addition to the design, at Komodo we worked on a series of activities such as product sampling, a year-long beer gift promotion through a gluten-free recipe competition, showcooking with Iván Muñoz, or a bottle and can production.

In 2017, Mahou went to an international fair held in Berlin, Bar Covent Berlin, to present itself as Spanish Grand beer with different references such as Mahou Five Stars, Maestra , Barrica …

For the occasion, Komodo coordinated the activities of the stand where you could try the different references paired with a “Spanish tapa”, something typical that marked the origin of the beer.

A groundbreaking, risky space that showed the skills of the new reference; the constancy of renewing the known-how of reinterpretation, in other words, proposing the best renewed tradition. And all of this by breaking the rules, because beer is not only made in tanks, and this is a demonstration that a new way of making beer is possible.
